Our vision for Nexus Café & Coffeehouse is simple: to have the best coffee, served by the most skilled and knowledgeable baristas in the city, and to be comparable to the best cafés in the country – if not the world.

To that end, Nexus features a house Sumatran, shipped directly to Cleveland and custom roasted locally by Larry Denton of Red Cedar Coffee Co. in Berea. Alongside the Sumatran, you’ll find Red Cedar single-origin coffees from all over the world, always ground and brewed within 10 days of roasting. Guests can pair any Nexus coffee with the milk of their choice, steamed for a velvety café au lait.

The flavor of the espresso in Nexus mochas and lattes won’t be shrouded by refined sugar. Instead, guests are invited to indulge their imagination by creating drinks that marry the richness of Nexus’ house espresso blend with spices, herbs and house-made syrups.

Coffee is a journey that begins on the farm and culminates in your first sip, but in between are the lives and dreams of many around the world. What’s in the cup connects us all. It’s the nexus between us and you.

Nexus’ coffee is from the highlands of Kepahyang, an area consisting of nutrient-rich volcanic soil – making it one of the best farming locations on the island. This makes the Nexus’ Sumatran coffee a touch different from other Sumatrans you may have experienced.

Tea

Nexus’ vision for tea is simple: to create a tea bar where people can brew and create their own blends using the single-origin teas that we offer – black, green and white varietals. Instead of filters, strainers are used to make the most of the flavor and health benefits. (They’re also better for the environment.) Each tea has been researched to provide the most flavorful experience, and each can be enjoyed hot or cold-brewed.
